COVID-19
I am committed to the safety and well-being of my human and animal clients. As a part of that commitment, I wanted to take a moment to share how Houston Dog Behavior and Training is adapting to the evolving situation regarding the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19).
- Enhancing disinfecting protocols. According to the protocols established by the World Health Organization (WHO), and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) the best defense against COVID-19 (and the seasonal flu) are hygienic practices. Each day I disinfect all equipment and after each session I wipe down all surfaces in and out of my car with hospital grade disinfectants. I will continue to wash my hands and use hand sanitizer frequently throughout the days.
- Eliminating rescheduling and late fees. I ask that if you are feeling ill that you err on the side of caution and follow the guidelines issued by the CDC by remaining at home and contacting your healthcare provider. There will be no financial penalty for cancellations or rescheduling. You can follow this link for additional information from the CDC: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
- Offering remote coaching. I encourage the use of video remote coaching through Zoom for all my clients but particularly for anyone who is symptomatic, or members of a vulnerable population such as those over 65 or with compromised immune systems.
Lastly, I ask for your understanding. It’s possible I may become ill and need to or closures may necessitate changes in meeting places. I know we are all hoping that this will be over soon, but until then be safe and let me know if you have any questions. Thank you again for your cooperation and caring.
